Haltwhistle, known as the Centre of Britain is a small town located near to Hadrian's Wall. There is plenty of history to be discovered in and around this pretty town including Hadrian's Wall, Vindolonda, House Steads and The Sill.

Haltwhistle is in a central location just off the main A69 road with the following towns and cities a short drive away. Brampton is 13 miles away, Alston 16 miles, Carlisle 22 miles, Newcastle 37 miles and the M6 motorway is just 35 miles away.

Haltwhistle has a lot to offer visitors and has everything you need right on your doorstep. Here you can stock up on supplies from local grocery stores to take to your holiday cottage, visit the tourist information centre, leisure centre, independent shops or one of its numerous pubs, cafes and eateries.
